In To The Future With Mobile Media

As entrepreneurs we are all familiar with the basics, it is all about the numbers. How many leads does it take to get a customer? This of course is a broad statement because depending on the industry that varies.

Let’s stick with restaurants for this example. For starters looking at customers as a lead may not be a good analogy, maybe it is better to say that your customers are the lifeblood of your business, without them you are dead.
What are you currently doing to attract customers into your restaurant and what are you doing to bring them back?

First of all your food needs to be good, your restaurant needs to be clean and your staff needs to be pleasant. We all know how aggressive the competition is out there so having an advantage always helps.

Being a franchise owner of an established brand is one way to have an advantage or being in a community for a long time can help individual establishments. But even with that your customer has so many choices available how do you stand out in the crowd?
    What if there was a way to discover which customers liked and trusted you the most out of all the other restaurants around and there was a way to communicate with them in the most intimate and efficient ways ever. What if you had a way that would assure you that they would keep coming back over and over and over and it was so affordable that it seemed too good to be true.
As the saying goes. “If it sounds too good to be true it usually is”
I'm certain after explaining my meaning, you will agree that it is not too good to be true because when you apply the saying “You get out of something what you put into it” then things come together.
I am obviously talking about adding mobile sms text message marketing into your promotions campaign.
When a customer subscribes into your VIP membership club they are literally telling you I like your food and I trust you with my mobile number.

Obviously you will be offering a very special discount or something free as a reward for opting in. As far as keeping them trusting you and coming back over and over and over depends on the effort you put into this special database of customers and not becoming intrusive!
You will want to make sure that when you send out a special offer to your VIP members that you are truly sending them something special, it is also something not available through any other offers you have. You also want to make sure you do not send out too many offers because it would just become ordinary and nothing special about it at all.
The bonus side to this is the fact that it is not really about the quantity of your members but the quality and loyalty of your members.
You also have to make sure you heavily promote your VIP text club, train your staff and make it a focus point to build your database. If you just stick up a sign and expect customers to get it and understand what you are offering you will not be laying the foundation properly.
So let’s wrap this up with some forward thinking!
You have a very generous offering for your customers if they opt in to your VIP text club. You may break even or give up a little but you gained a member, this customer also understands that they will on occasion get exclusive offers in the future by being a member. You build up a membership base of 100 customers and you decide to do a monthly special and send out a text to all your members and get a 30% response rate.
30% response rate absolutely!
So you have 30 customers take you up on your offer and do not forget that in your message you can suggest they bring a friend!
Either the light bulb just went off or it didn’t
2 years pass and you have 500 members, how valuable is this database worth to your restaurant!
Apply this concept to your business, restaurants are just an example!
