We've Gone Back To The Future

Let's be honest what is the most common and most used “Social Media”? Is it twitter? No, while twitter has some great power for sharing thoughts, ideas, and information and should not be overlooked as a social media outlet, it is not the most frequently used. Though it is a powerful enhancer for any brand.

Is it YouTube? No, while YouTube is simply revolutionary, informative, and fun it is not how people “Get Social” with each other. It is however the greatest viral tool online. Creating a video that goes viral is an unpredictable mixture of talent and luck. So it is very good to have a YouTube presence. The trick is keeping your content inline with your purpose. You need not have 100,000 views for your channel to be an effective way to reach out, inform, and perhaps make your audience smile and share what you have posted.

Is it Facebook? Surprisingly the answer is No to that also. Don't get me wrong, facebook is the hottest real estate online, it is a lot of fun, and they have a fairly nice set up for creating business pages to enhance your brand, connect with your customer base and indeed expand that customer base. Again it is all how you use it. While this isn't brain surgery it is good to have some kind of plan, be willing to experiment, and mostly keep a regular flow of info, posts, pictures, videos, articles and other content moving on to your facebook page. While facebook has lot's of eyeball on it, it isn't designed to stop people wherever they are and have them see a message. One has to go check on facebook and there are plenty of distractions already there.

Stop for a moment and consider the telegram, yes the telegram. Two telegram operators using Morse code, one sending the other receiving and so on. One would have to go to the telegram office or perhaps the short message was delivered to your door. Let me say that again, the Short Message Was Delivered To Your Door!
Folks we have gone back in time with a new edge, a 21st Century Twist, That message is now delivered directly to you and you can reply instantly and even pass it along to your people. SMS or Short Message Service or as we commonly call it: text messaging is here to stay and meets an intrinsic human desire to see and read the words, to be able to review them or share them with another. Most important texting is how millions and millions of people communicate every second of every day. parents and kids, professors and students, friends, colleagues, business associates, co-workers, almost everyone has sent and received a text message or they will before your done reading this article.

It's versatile indeed, if one has a smartphone then images, phone numbers, email addresses, and Internet links are instantly “clickable” if the recipient has an ordinary phone then the content of the message is still viewable and usable! As made popular by shows like American Idol and America's Got Talent people are now familiar with the text shortcode. When you vote on AGT the contestant has a text: Vote to 4608 or 4609 etc..
Imagine your keyword at 90210?

Nearly 300 Million People in the U.S. have Mobile Phones...
By 2013, according to Morgan Stanley, the Mobile Web will replace the Internet as the primary source of online information...
Think about how it was possible just a few years ago to buy a brand new old fashioned picture tube TV at many retailers. Go try it now, the only place you can find a picture tube TV is on craigslist, at a yard sale and maybe at a pawn shop. My point is that in another two years virtually every cell phone on the market will have some internet access. And what we now consider to be a Smartphone or SuperPhone will be a mid level device in less than a year.

Grab a cell phone and text: iLike to: 90210 to find out more right now. if you want to reach me directly text; iCard to: 90210 and you'll have my personal contact info on your phone in moments.
